Setting The Stage For Success

PHOTOS LEADING TO A FRESH PHASE 2.

It's been a long time between posts, so firstly, let me apologise for that.  It's been a busy time for events and other bar activities and before you know it, 6 months have flown by.

Finally though, I'm happy to announce that we have taken the professional photos of the first round of drinks.  It was a great day of shooting with Lars Holland.  He's a proper professional who sees opportunities and shots long before they become reality.

Getting the photos right was really important.  This product is all visual online until you get it home, and get your hands on the ingredients.  Without proper photos, it's hard to tell the story correctly.  So, we now have some amazing product shots and I'm super excited to start spreading the word.

You'll be hearing from me much more often with a lot more interesting notes and quotes and as we build the tribe who love Drink In A Box, I hope I can count on you to help spread the word.

Much Love,

Adam  x

A Box or Two For The Cabin

THE GREAT HUNT FOR COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS.

Hunting season is well and truly on in the Norwegian hills, and what better way to kick back after a long day of stalking your dinner, than with a few great drinks.

One of our long time supporters, our "carpenter in chief" at Brick Lane, and all round top South African, Brent Strydom took his early bird boxes out to his cabin last weekend.  All set with a Moscow Mule box and the trusty Ginger Mojito box, he was ready to go and cater for the team of hunters who would be joining him.

We gave Brent a few extra bags of ice and we are told that he and his hunting buddies sincerely enjoyed the beverages and how easier they were to make, even outside... in the moonshine! - pun intended.

TO THROW OR NOT TO THROW.

We had such a great response for the KickStarter video, we decided to keep it. And with a little bit of movie magic, we have changed the ending so it makes more sense going forward.

It was a lot of fun, but hard work putting it together.  The boys at BLUR Media came through with this production and all the support staff in the back-of-house were sensation to work with.  A special thanks goes out to our Viking, who we locked in the freezer with nothing more than a sheep skin blanket and snowboarding goggles. Hard core hero!

Kickstarter Campaign

RAISING 100.000 kr SEEMED IMPOSSIBLE.

After going back and forth on whether or not to pull the trigger, the decision came down that we would create a Kickstarter Campaign.

We ran it for the recommended 30 days and it resulted in 45 backers, 59,332kr in early bird pledges and our target of 40,000kr fully destroyed within 14 days!

That was the official start to the project and there was no turning back after that.

Our backers have become dear to our heart, but it wasn't just the Kickstarter supporters who reached deep into their pockets.  We had 78 other wonderful supporters jump on board the early bird special and pre-ordered directly at our home base, Brick Lane Cafe.  This generated another 45,630kr bringing our pre-sale campaign to 104,962kr.  And just think, we almost didn't do it!

The early bird backers have started to collect their orders and the deliveries have begun.
